I am a self proclaimed cat lady.
I thought I was going to marry Joey McIntyre when I grew up.
Whenever I hear the song “My Girl”, I automatically think of Macaulay Culkin and bee stings.
Which brings me to my next point: I am a beekeeper who loves baking, crafting, eating, traveling, craft beer and music (although not always in that order. But, I wouldn’t complain even if it was).
I love waxing poetic on food which is how this corner of the blogosphere came about. Food Joy was born via Gastronome Tart Blog in February of 2011. Since then many changes have taken place, yet the one thing that has always stayed the same is the atmosphere of approachable, original recipes and foodie news for readers of all cooking and baking skill levels.
I am a self taught cook and baker. Growing up my mother taught me the joys of cake mixes and Hamburger Helper. What can I say? I’m a child of the 80’s and 90’s (Yep. That weird generation of being the last of Gen X and the first of Gen Y).
However, since my introduction into the adult world (or as most people call it: post college), my tastes did change and with it my desire for more authentic, seasonal and original dishes.
On Food Joy, the recipes are part of my creative process. Meaning, majority are developed by me, however some recipes I come across are so yummy that I have decided to share them. Which in this case I will always give credit to my source.
Food Joy is my brainchild for all things food. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or if you try a recipe, I would love to know!
I can be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. you may also have my posts delivered right into your mailbox by typing in your email address on the home page. Or if you have a more pressing question, or just want to drop a line to say hello, I may be reached at: email@example.com
